Purchased a house

by Dustin on September 20, 2008

I have been looking at purchasing some real estate for a little over a year now, and I looked at many different types of properties…from condos, duplexs, townhouses, build it yourself houses, tiny houses, and finally normal single family homes.  I made offers on a condo – didn’t work out, then made an offer on a house – didn’t work out.  Finally, I found a nice 1950’s ranch in Smyrna, GA for a good price that was in good shape…made an offer and was able to work out a deal with the seller that was good for both parties.  Fast forward to yesterday (Friday) closing went good and now I should be getting the keys in a few hours after the seller finishes moving everything out.  It has been an exciting, scaring, nervious, fun, not fun…expirence that has taugh me a lot (just the buying process).  I am a little nervious about what I am going to learn about taking care of a house, but I think it will be good for me and for the most part I am looking forward to the lessons ahead of me.

I think the most exciting thing is I will be able to have a room that will be dedicated to an office!  That is something that you can’t do in a one bedroom apartment.

If you are looking into purchasing a home in the Metro Atlanta area…here is my team that I worked with and I recommend them.
